Since the creation of the OECD.AI Policy Observatory in 2020, one of the primary and most popular features has been its Database of National AI Policies & Strategies. The database has grown with rapid advancements in AI governance, currently featuring over 1,000 policy initiatives from 70 countries around the world. 

As we continue to ramp up our 2024 efforts and tap into data on national initiatives in new ways, such as an AI-enabled smart search for AI (see beta here), we think the time is right to re-visit this resource and identify opportunities to enhance it and ensure it continues to serve as a useful knowledge hub for policymakers, public servants and AI researchers.

Two ways to help us improve our database
